Andreia Dias graduated as a vet at the end of 2014 from the University of Lisbon after completing her Master’s in equine stem cells. She started her veterinary career in 2015 when she took a role as a mixed vet in semi-rural Scotland. Since then, she has undertaken a rotating internship at Glasgow University, worked as a small animal locum in and around Glasgow, Ayrshire and Portugal, where she is also involved within the profession. She currently focuses mostly on feline medicine and behaviour, having completed the ISFM Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour in 2018. Back in 2017, she developed UK VetMove, a project aimed at helping overseas vets successfully create a life and career in the United Kingdom by providing them support and training systems. Andreia was one of the three finalists of the first edition of the BVA Young Vet of The Year Award 2019.
