Lisa McAuliffe started life as a veterinary nurse in mixed practice where she developed an interest in ophthalmology. She attended Wye College, University of London and obtained a BSc in Animal Science before qualifying with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Liverpool in 2003. Lisa was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2009 and was awarded her Masters in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia from Edinburgh University in 2019. Lisa moved to Ireland 14 years ago and has since been working exclusively in small animal hospitals – you may have seen her on RTÉ’s The Pet Surgeons. She regularly lectures to both vets and nurses. Lisa works with Veterinary Specialists Ireland as a visiting consultant ophthalmologist and has her own clinic, Peteyevet in Cork, Ireland.
