Mike qualified from Bristol in 1985 and has been in farm animal practice ever since. He started in Malmesbury ,Wiltshire for 4 years then via North Dorset joined the Delaware Veterinary Group in Castle Cary, Somerset in 1992, becoming a Partner in 1994, the same year he was awarded  a DBR from Liverpool. He joined Synergy Farm Health in Evershot, Dorset in June 2020.

He has done consultancy and  presented extensively at home and abroad , is an honorary lecturer at Liverpool and previously  Bristol and is a member of the Nottingham Dairy Innovation Forum at Nottingham University.He also sits on the External Advisory Board to Surrey University Veterinary School.His main  interests within dairy practice are fertility ,nutrition and production and especially  all bovine surgery whilst at the same time  developing the next generation of cattle vets.
